Kenny Rampton is an award-winning trumpet player who grew up in Las Vegas and is currently a member of The Jazz @ Lincoln Center Orchestra. Kenny Rampton is the founder of JOI.

Artistic Advisor to JOI
Wynton Marsalis is a world famous American trumpeter, composer, teacher, and recording artist. Wynton Marsalis is the Founder and Artistic Director of the Jazz @ Lincoln Center Orchestra.

JULIUS TOLENTINO
Artistic Advisor to JOI
Julius Tolentino is the Jazz Director at Newark Academy, the Director of Jazz at NJ Youth Symphony, and the Middle School Jazz Academy Director for Jazz @ Lincoln Center.

VICTOR GOINES
Artistic Advisor to JOI
Victor Goines is a member of the Jazz @ Lincoln Center Orchestra and the Wynton Marsalis Septet. He is also the director of jazz studies and a professor for the Bienen School of Music at Northwestern University.

VINCENT GARDNER
Artistic Advisor to JOI
Vincent Gardner is an American trombonist, composer, and recording artist. Gardner is the lead trombonist for the Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra. Gardner has released four albums on SteepleChase Records.

CURT MILLER
Vice President
Curt Miller has worked as lead trombone chair and music director at hotels including the Desert Inn, The Frontier with Sigfried and Roy, Caesar’s Palace, Mirage, Golden Nugget and Treasure Island. He also started Anexeon, one of the state's largest technology firms.

JULIANA McRAE
Secretary
Juliana McRae has taught vocal music for 32 years at all levels from elementary to college. In Las Vegas, she has served the Las Vegas Philharmonic Guild in capacities including President, Vice-President, Secretary, Treasurer and Special Advisor.

DANIEL B. PHILIPPUS, CPA
Treasurer
Daniel B. Philippus, CPA is a 30 year veteran of the music business who also has approximately 20 years of financial planning and accounting experience. He has spent the last 20 years as a proud member of the American Federation of Musicians (AFM) – Las Vegas Local 369.

DAVE CLARK
Board Member
Dave Clark is an emeritus board member of CASA and is still a court appointment special advocate for our city's youth. He has a degree in mass communications from Texas Tech and has worked with national advertising agencies, held senior leadership positions with telecommunications companies, founded a VoIP company and Clark Consulting Services. Dave joins JOI with a deep love of music and passion for mentorship and education for our city's youth.

GARY CORDELL
Vice President,
Education & Programs
JOI Co-founder Gary Cordell is the Vice President of the Las Vegas Musician's Union and a founding member of TAPPS. Gary is the Music Supervisor for the Music Is Love Concert Series at Opportunity Village in Las Vegas and was the original Program Director for JAZZ@NSA.

Executive Director
Donny Thompson joined JOI as Secretary in spring 2017 and later served a dual role as Executive Director until fall 2020 when the role was split. Donny holds a Master of Science degree in Nonprofit Administration from LSU and a Bachelor of Music from UNLV.
CLINT HOLMES
Board Member
GRAMMY® nominee, legendary singer, songwriter, entertainer Clint Holmes joined the JOI Board in fall 2020. Prior to joining JOI, Mr. Holmes has supported and participated in JOI's efforts since its inception. He is a consummate entertainer, writer, performer, recording artist, and one of the country’s finest vocalists.
