Bob Bruderman

Bob and has been a music lover all his life.  In college he sang baritone in a 70 voice men’s glee club and its sub-groups including a barbershop quartet.   When his children were very young (2 and 4 years old) he and his wife frequently took them to jazz clubs.  Both children are musical - with their son and his wife involved in the music industry for more than 20 years.  Their daughter met her husband in the marching band in college and their granddaughter is an accomplished pianist.

Bob loves all types of jazz, straight-ahead, smooth, big band as well as funk and fusion.  He and Mary Ellen are regular attendees at The Smith Center where they saw the JVO Myron’s in October 2023. A few months later, a friend who is a JOI volunteer asked them to go see the JVO at Notoriety.  Bob noticed a familiar face playing the trombone…Curt Miller who Bob had known from Curt's I.T. business.  They reconnected and Bob learned about the JOI mission and educational activities.  He got involved immediately and became a member of the JOI board in May 2024.

Bob founded and has been intimately involved with several successful businesses throughout his career. He began as a financial analyst and a divisional assistant controller for a Fortune 100 company. He was also CFO of a securities broker-dealer.  He has been involved in financial and investment management for more than 40 years.  He has owned a majority interest in a software company, operated his own SEC registered investment advisory firm and he was co-founder a broker-dealer with more than 700 advisors that he and his partners sold in 2008.  He also co-founded two successful trust companies in Las Vegas, the most recent being IconTrust for which he acts as a director, chairman and CFO.

Bob was a director for two charitable foundations, one supporting the chronically ill in the USA and another supporting private elementary schools in Belgium.

Bob and Mary Ellen have been married for more than 50 years and have lived in Summerlin since 2004.  They have two children and three grandchildren.
