Following Jazz Outreach Initiative's most successful single evening fundraising event, the Annual JOI Jazz Soiree held at Monzu Italian Oven + Bar on Tuesday August 9th, we received tremendous positive feedback and enthusiasm from the guests who were in attendance. The evening was filled with outstanding music featuring three generations of musicians performing together, guests Kenny Rampton, Clint Holmes, Naomi Mauro, and Jimmy Tripi, members of our Las Vegas Youth Jazz Orchestra, and ending the night with a world-class jam session where many local musicians and singers took the open stage. Nearly $11,000 was raised!
The evening would not have been nearly as successful without the passion and talent of Chef/Owner Gio Mauro, Chef Paul Boyd, and GM Shannon Fagan along with their incredible staff at Monzu Italian Oven + Bar. The impeccable food creations, wines sponsored by Siempre Tequila and Foley Family Wines, delicious desserts, and more served along with outstanding passed hors d'oeurves complimented the evening's festivities perfectly. The combination of jazz and gourmet Italian cuisine left everyone full in body and soul.
