Las Vegas Youth Jazz Orchestra Performs LIVE for the first time EVER!

The Las Vegas Youth Jazz Orchestra was created by Jazz Outreach Initiative in early February 2020 and had only a few in-person rehearsals before Covid-19 shut down all in-person activities and concerts.

We immediately pivoted to virtual learning and with the help of our esteemed Vice President of our Board of Directors, Mr. Curt Miller who's a phenom music & recording engineer, the students recorded a number of virtual performances throughout 2020. You can view these recordings on Jazz Outreach Initiative's YouTube Channel HERE.

Now, for the first time EVER, the Las Vegas Youth Jazz Orchestra will perform LIVE, Saturday

October 16 at 12:15pm. The performance will be a part of the entertainment for the Armed Forces, Military Veterans, & First Responders Appreciation Day at CRAIG RANCH REGIONAL PARK. The event is FREE to the public and will include family fun, entertainment 10:30-4pm, food trucks, vendors, and a classic car show. Jazz Outreach Initiative will have a booth there as well where we'll be launching our "JOI of Giving Annual Fall Campaign."

Please come out and support this diverse group of students aged middle school through 19 and swing by the Jazz Outreach Initiative booth for a visit! The weather should be great!
