JOI Welcomes Dave Clark to its Board of Directors!

JOI is pleased to announce and welcome our newest Board Member, Mr. Dave Clark!

After graduating from Texas Tech with a degree in Mass Communications in 1982, Dave worked with various national advertising agencies servicing clients as diverse as McDonalds and Shell Oil. After catching the entrepreneurial bug, Dave held a variety of senior management roles in start-up telecommunications companies from 1989 to 2001. This included a stint providing satellite phone services to British troops during the United Nations’ mandate in Bosnia in the early 1990s.

For a couple of years Dave ran a private equity firm based in Las Vegas before founding a Voice Over IP communications company in 2003. In 2006, Dave was named the Tech Entrepreneur of the year by the Tech Business Alliance of Nevada and IP Communication Voice Services CEO of the Year by Frost and Sullivan. After selling that company in 2011, Dave formed Clark Consulting Services providing a variety of financial and management services.

During 2011, Dave realized the obligation to give back to a community that had been so good to his family. Dave became a Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) and works with kids in the foster care system in Clark County. Dave also spent almost five years on the board of the CASA Foundation.

With a deep love of all forms of music and a desire to help kids in as many venues as possible, Dave says, "I am delighted to join the board of the Jazz Outreach Initiative (JOI) and encourage individuals and businesses with the ability to help the cause via financial donations, donations of time or in-kind services to find one of their many programs which meets your passion and help 'Make A Difference!' Realizing the huge need to provide talented young musicians with mentoring and music education, JOI (with its roots in the live music heritage of Las Vegas) is the perfect vehicle to deliver these services our youth."

Thank you Dave Clark and welcome to the team!
