Jazz Outreach Initiative is honored to announce a college jazz scholarship opportunity open now for applications. Through the generosity of the Carl and Nicholas Soranno families and in honor of the late Richard Soranno, we’re offering the Richard Salvatore Soranno Memorial Scholarship for Jazz through the Public Education Foundation. This will be JOI’s second awarding of this scholarship, the first having been awarded to Ilai Macaggi of Green Valley High School, currently attending The Julliard School. Applicants do not have to be participants in any of JOI’s programs.
