Sarah Milligan is an upcoming senior at the University of Texas at Austin earning a Major in Jazz Studies and a Minor in Arts Management and Administration. Originally from Sierra Vista, Arizona, Sarah studied jazz in high school with University of Arizona Saxophone Professor Kelland Thomas, then moved to the Tucson Jazz Institute where she studied under Brice Winston, Scott Black, and Doug Tidaback. She currently studies under Dr. John Mills, John Fremgen, and Jeff Hellmer at the University of Texas at Austin. 
During her journey as a musician, Sarah has performed in many of the world's renowned jazz festivals including the Next Generation Jazz Festival, Jazz at Lincoln Center’s Essentially Ellington, The Montreux Jazz Festival (Switzerland), North Sea Jazz Festival (Netherlands), and has shared the stage with wonderful musicians such as Terrell Stafford, Cyrus Chestnut, Kenny Rampton, and Conrad Herwig. 
In her spare time, Sarah is actively involved in the Texas Triathlon team, where she not only races but is the Marketing Officer for the general team and Marketing and Development Director for Bevoman their regional conference championships. 
When not playing music or training, Sarah can be found behind the camera taking a variety of photos ranging from portraits and head shots for websites and album covers to live dance and music photography.
Sarah spent the summer of 2018 interning with the Development Department at Ballet Austin, and is currently the Social Media Manager for the Jazz Outreach Initiative.
