Social Media Manager - JOI
Amy Crosley is currently a Jazz and Commercial Studies Student at the University of Nevada Las Vegas studying drum set and percussion. She is also a UNLV Journalism and Media Studies student. She attended the Las Vegas Academy of the Performing Arts High School where she majored in Jazz Drum-set and Concert Band Percussion. She plays in the top Big Band, the Contemporary Jazz Ensemble, and UNLV’s very first All-Female Jazz Combo. While at LVA she played artists like Jeff Hamilton and Randy Brecker at the Midwest Clinic in Chicago (2015) and received an Outstanding Soloist Award at the Next Generation Monterey Jazz Festival (2016). She was also apart of the Honor Band, Allstate Band, and Allstate Jazz Band. While at UNLV she worked for KUNV 91.5 Jazz and More where she hosted her own show, Modern Jazz Vibrations, and also held a position as Night-Time Musical Director. Currently she is teaching the Front Ensemble at the Ed W. Clark High School and has been for the last 4 years. She holds the drum set chair in the Michael Ray Tyler Big Band, a Las Vegas Rat Pat group under the direction of Michael Evans, and also has played in the Henderson Symphony Orchestra. Amy also plays in her own jazz quartet, Rudiments, which has its own unique instrumentation of violin, guitar, bass, and drums.
